Ofer Winter advises PM: Gaza terror tunnels to become subterranean irrigation networks

JERUSALEM — In a closed-door meeting at the newly expanded government complex near the Sanhedrin, former IDF General Ofer Winter presents Benjamin Netanyahu with the final logistical blueprints for Gaza’s demilitarization. The plan marks the official end of military deployments in the coastal enclave, transitioning thousands of former combat troops into agricultural engineers.

Winter, who once commanded forces bracing for brutal urban warfare, outlines the joint Israeli-Gazan initiative to repurpose the region's vast underground tunnel network. Local Gazan elders now work side-by-side with Winter’s logistics teams, studying Torah-based agricultural halachot to observe the upcoming Shmita year.
